Communication interfaces in mobile phones
Parduba, Jiří ; Holešinský, Pavel (referee) ; Morský, Ondřej (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis is focused on technologies, which are used for connection of mobile phone to other networks, which are available for current mobile phones - Bluetooth, IrDA Data, NFC, Cable connection and GPS, mobile networks, there are described technologies, which are used for connection to networks on the level of mobile operator - GSM, GPRS, EDGE and UMTS. In Bachelor thesis is also described connection of mobile phone and SIM card, there are shown functions of SIM card and how is the card used. These chapters are focused on security and programming properties of technologies. The appropriate technology, which was used in practiced part of Bachelor thesis, was chosen on basis of its properties with compare to other technologies. The most useful technology, which was chosen, is Bluetooth. There are also described three the most used operating systems for mobile phones – Windows Mobile (Phone), Symbian OS and Android, in this chapter is shown how these systems can be used. In practiced part of bachelor thesis are used data from theoretical part and by programming language JAVA is programmed the application, which communicates by Bluetooth. This application is programmed on the platform JavaME and users can use this application for example information announcements about historical monuments. This is concretely demonstrated on the historical monument in Brno.
Acquisition of service information from current terminals of GSM and UMTS cell networks, service procedures for mobile terminals
Kříž, Jakub ; Skořepa, Michal (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
This thesis concentrates on the UMTS cellular network and the possibilities of its monitoring. There are several methods of monitoring the UMTS. The technique used in this project is based on monitoring through a cellular terminal. The theoretical part is devoted to the description of the UMTS system and the WCDMA technique. The practical part then deals with the method of UMTS monitoring through a cellular terminal and describes in detail individual screens of the FTD (Field Test Display) program, the Netmonitor functions and their parameters. The next part of this thesis analyses the RRC messages, which were recorded during the realization of services (video calls, calls, data transfers) in the UMTS network. The last chapters of the thesis are briefly dealing with software and hardware servicing of cellular terminals. The attachment then offers two lab tasks, in which the students get acquainted with the UMTS network structure and the behaviour of the cellular terminal in this network.
Keyword Spotting Implementation to Mobil Phone (Symbian 60)
Cipr, Tomáš ; Schwarz, Petr (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
Keyword spotting is one of the many applications of automatic speech recognition. Its purpose is determining spots in given utterance in which some of the specified words were spoken. Keyword spotting has a great potential to enhance performance of new applications as well as the existing ones. An example could be a mobile phone voice control. Due to OS Symbian's coming to the market it is even possible for end user to implement a keyword spotting for a mobile phone on his or her own. The thesis describes theoretical prerequisites for keyword spotting and its implementation. Firstly the OS Symbian is presented with respect to the given task. Secondly each step of keyword spotting process is described. Finally the object design of keyword spotter is presented followed by implementation description. The thesis concludes with results review and notes on possible improvements.
GSM alarm for motorcycles
Beníček, Martin ; Fedra, Zbyněk (referee) ; Urban, Josef (advisor)
The main target of this work is to design and to implement unfailable safety appliance for motocycles with use any GSM technology. In my masters’s thesis I applied to individaul fields which I had to knows for realization of this work. The introductory chapter tells the reader about evaluation of former semestral projects and about brief description of the realized mechanism. It is followed by descripctoin of principles of communication between PC and mobile phone. The main part of my work is dedicated to application itself. The applicaton is called motoalarm. The last chapter creates description service of localisation mobil phones which is called Kde je... The conclusion includes evaluation of this master´s project and general description of the realized mechanism.
Bluetooth Remote Controller
Kratochvíl, Martin ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Škarvada, Jaroslav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to create an universal system for a remote computer control by a cellular phone. The system uses Bluetooth technology for wireless communication. It focuses on extensibility and ease of configuration, simple usage and low power requirement on the cellphone.
